Dynamic DNS gives your home IP address a consistent, easy to remember domain name (hostname you create).
Having hostnames makes it easier to use your home IP address with other services (webcam, security camera, thermostat, etc).
All you need to set up a dynamic IP address is a Dynamic DNS hostname.
Sign-up for an account when you purchase Dynamic DNS at our limited time 20% off Winter Sale discount.
Once logged in, navigate to "DynDNS Hosts" and then "Add New Hostname" to create a new web address that will be linked to your device (ex: webcam@dyndns.org).
Test the hostname you created by typing it into a web browser bar outside your home network. If it loads, then you are connected properly.
Lastly, install the Dyn updater client. Some devices may already have Dyn's updater client pre-installed; for these, simply navigate to the application's Dynamic DNS section for set-up.
